Build the counterparty relationships the firm trades through. Not sales — there is nothing to sell.
Dubai (on-site)/Full-time/Open
The problem.
The firm sells nothing and takes no outside capital. This is not a commercial role in the usual sense. What it is: the relationships with venues, banks, brokers and data providers that decide the terms the firm operates on, and liquidity provision arrangements that may follow from them. Those relationships are built by somebody who understands the trading, not by somebody who understands a pipeline.
What you would do.
- Own the venue relationships: onboarding, the diligence they require, tier and fee negotiation, and knowing who to call when something is wrong at two in the morning.
- Own banking and broker relationships alongside treasury, including the diligence that a firm in this asset class attracts.
- Evaluate liquidity provision and market-making arrangements where they make sense. Be honest about where they do not.
- Represent the firm in counterparty conversations without publishing anything about how it trades.
- Keep the record of every arrangement, its terms and its renewal, so nothing lapses quietly.
What we would want evidence of.
- You have negotiated venue or broker terms and can describe what actually moved them.
- You understand the trading well enough that a counterparty's technical staff take you seriously.
- You have taken a firm through onboarding diligence somewhere it was difficult.
- You can hold a commercial conversation without disclosing anything you should not.
- You keep records that survive your absence.
What would make this a bad fit.
There is no product to sell and no revenue target. This role is a poor fit if a quota is what makes the work legible to you.
This role is a poor fit if you would be tempted to describe how the firm trades to move a negotiation forward. That is the one thing that ends this role.
How to apply.
- IntroductionA short message and something you built. No cover letter, no recruiter, no form.
- Technical conversationNinety minutes on work you actually did, deep enough that neither of us can bluff.
- Paid assignmentA real problem from our backlog, scoped to one day. We pay for it either way.
- ReviewYou defend the work to the people who would maintain it. This is the decision.
